In the book, The Ex Hex, the main characters enjoy delicious caramel apple hand pies at their local fall festival. The town raves about these hand pies from one particularly beloved festival stall. They sounded so good, I had to make them!
My caramel apple pie recipe starts with tart apples and transforms them into a warm, gooey filling. They are then wrapped in a buttery pastry and baked to flaky perfection. Top with sweet and sticky caramel sauce, and you are transported straight to the fall festival.
